Benj Drumond
Imagine my delight, while reading the GOOD blog, to find that two people I know are now winners of the Nau’s $10,000 “Grant for Change.” Filmmakers Benj Drummond and Sara Joy Steele are some of the most innovative digital storytellers I know and totally deserving of the award.
I’m continually in awe of their work. They are my standard–both in terms of craftsmanship and narrative. I agree wholeheartedly with their belief that complex issues, like climate change, are most compelling when given an intimate, human voice. If only we could clone them and populate the National Park Service with their talents!
Benj and Sara’s website is linked here and on the right sidebar.
Watch the Parks Climate Challenge video here.
And my personal favorite, the Connecting Prisons with Nature.
Grab your coffee, take a break, and bask in their glorious marriage of photography, audio, and great storytelling.
Thanks for your kind words, Michael! Hope to connect next time you’re in Seattle.
